Meet Dr. Lopes, DMD
Owner and Lead Dentist - Bello Smile Dentistry
Dr. Lopes' love for dentistry began long before dental school. Growing up in Belém, Brazil, she spent her childhood in her mother's dental clinic, Dente Bello, watching as her mother, a beloved pediatric dentist, turned nervous little patients into children with bright, confident smiles. That early connection between compassion and care left a lasting impression, and it wasn't long before Dr. Lopes knew she wanted to dedicate her life to the same work.

In August 2007, Dr. Lopes earned her Brazilian DDS degree, beginning her dental career in the very clinic that inspired her. She worked side by side with her mother for years, deepening not only her clinical skills but her understanding of what truly patient centered care looks like. When she made the move to the United States in 2011, her dedication to dentistry never wavered: She continued her education and returned to Brazil regularly to train alongside her mother, keeping her passion alive through every challenge the transition brought.

In 2018, Dr. Lopes proudly became a U.S. citizen, a milestone that reignited her dream of practicing dentistry in America. Determined and focused, she enrolled at Boston University in 2023 and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2025 from the prestigious Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Today, she brings nearly two decades of clinical experience, a genuine warmth for her patients, and a deeply personal mission to this community through Bello Smile Dentistry.
